About Restoration Counseling
Meet Stephanie Seidl, MA, LCPC
I’ve known since I was 14 that I would become a counselor. It’s truly special to be part of my clients’ journeys, creating a safe space for healing and restoration.
I focus on trauma, aiming to help people get back their voice, power, sense of safety, and trust after traumatic stories and experiences.
My career path has been pretty varied. I started out in substance use disorder treatment (opioid focus), then worked in psychological research at Washington University. After that, I moved into community mental health, school-based services, and eventually private practice.
I’ve found I am at my best as a counselor when working with partners of sex addicts, couples, sexual trauma survivors, first responders, and those dealing with perinatal mood disorders. I also have a deep passion for helping people navigate “church hurt” while still holding onto their faith.
When I’m not working, you can find me having good conversations at coffee shops with friends, diving into a good book, watching intense movies, or out on a hike. My family and I have been in the Tri-County area since 2012, and we’re super excited about the empty nest years coming up!
